Review by Paul Remde
I'm an engineer/MBA who loves reading about the development of sailplanes and the people who brought them to life. I wish I could read German so I could savor every word, but I was very satisfied with the 16 page English language summary, the line-art sailplane drawings by Martin Simons, and the many photographs. Certainly the LS sailplanes are some of the most lovely sailplanes ever made. Their many innovative design features not only worked great, but also looked great - from the gracefully bent-up winglet featured on the cover, to the way the back end of the tailboom was designed to allow air to escape the fuselage - improving cockpit ventilation. The book is expertly published by Klaus Fey of EQIP - maker of the fantastic "Sailplanes" books. Everyone who loves the lines of LS sailplanes will love this book.
