This is a very stiff flexible arm.  It is not are rugged as the GNeck2 Gooseneck.  The overall length from base to base is 7.75" (19.69 cm).  It consists of two plastic diamond shaped mounting plates and a metal (aluminum I think) rod with a plastic cover.  It is stiff enough for use holding a Pocket PC or GPS without any drooping under severe loads (loops, hard landings, etc.).  Since the rod is made of metal, it is not meant to be bent to extreme positions very many times.  Like any gooseneck it can be adjusted using one hand. If it is too long you can bend it into an S-shape for a minimum length of about 3.5" (89 mm), Weight: 1.6 oz (45 g)
