Overview Vertical card compasses are much easier to read than a traditional compass. Pilots that have flown with them say they will never go back to any other kind of compass. They are available with 14V and 28V lights built-in. The compass does not require any power to operate.
Review by Paul Remde I fly with a PAI-700 vertical card compass in my sailplane and I love it. It is much easier to read than any other compass type. It does have some stiction, but I haven't found that to be an issue.
