Designed in Germany in 1935 with its first flight in 1936. It was a single seat high performance glider.
The kit includes decals and assembly and painting instructions.

The excellent book Sailplanes 1920 - 1945 by Martin Simons includes an excellent write-up, photos and scale drawings of this glider.  A quote from the book, "Akaflieg Aachen designed the FVA 10 Rheinland in 1935.  The students were impressed by wind tunnel results which suggested that drag could be saved by shaping the fuselage like an aerofoil section, to conform as far as possible to the flow around the wing."
