LXNAV Bluetooth Module for S7, S8, S80, S10, S100, and LX80x0 and LX90x0 units with RJ45 PDA ports
The LXNAV Bluetooth Module makes it easy to connect a phone or Oudie N or Tripltek to an LXNAV S7, S8, S80, S10 or S100 variometer over Bluetooth.  It also works with newer LX80x0 and LX90x0 soaring flight computers that have an 8-pin RJ45 "PDA" port on the back of the main instrument.  The Bluetooth Module plugs into the unit's PDA port and is powered by the instrument.

LXNAV S10 and S100 variometers have Bluetooth built-in and a small Bluetooth antenna that connects to the back of the vario.  However, older varios may have older Bluetooth built-in.  If so, these modules can be used.  Current S10 and S100 units have current Bluetooth radios and work great with Oudie N and Tripltek units and current smartphones.

2 Versions (select at right)
You'll need to figure-out which of the versions will work with your smartphone.  You may need to do an internet search to find the Bluetooth version supported in your iPhone or Android device.  Most modern smart phones (2022) support BT40LE and no longer support BT30.  Older smartphones work with BT30, but not BT40LE.

• BT30
  For use with older phones and probably Oudie, Oudie2, and Oudie IGC units
  Does NOT work with Oudie N, Tripltek 7 Pro, Tripltek 8 Pro, or iPhone X.
  
• BT40LE
  Works great (tested) with Oudie N, Tripltek 7 Pro, Tripltek 8 Pro, iPhone X, and newer phones.

Tips

• BT30 - On the vario, go to Setup, Hardware, Comm, and enable the checkbox "Use LXNAV BT on PDA port"
• BT40LE - On the vario, go to Setup, Hardware, Comm, and do NOT enable the checkbox "Use LXNAV BT on PDA Port" - leave it unchecked.  Set the PDA baudrate to 115200 bps.
