Volkslogger PC Cable - For Volkslogger with round 5-pin Binder power/data connector
This cable is used to connect the VL to 12V power and to a PC for transferring waypoints to the VL or downloading flight logs from the VL to a PC.  Two cables exit the DB-9f connector.  Both the cable to the Binder connector and the power leads are 2 m long.  The wiring harness has a total of 3 connections:

• Binder, 5-pin round connector, male, right angle, with 2 m (6.56 ft) cable - Plugs into the Volkslogger for the power and data connections
• DB-9f, 9-pin female connector - for plugging into a PC
• Power leads, 2 m long - bare leads for connecting to a 12V power source such as the Pwr-12V-500mA wall plug or a 12V battery.  The 12V power converter is not included.

This cable's DB-9f 9-pin connector is designed for connection to a PC's RS-232 serial port.  However, most new PCs don't have RS-232 serial ports.  However, the FTDI Chip USB Serial Adapter can be used to add a serial port to any PC that has a USB port.  It works great with the Volkslogger.
