Gooseneck Microphone Adapter TM170
UPDATE in 2023
Peiker changed the design of the base of the TM170. It previously had a base with straight sides at the base. Recent versions have a base that necks-down in a conical diameter reduction. This version of the adapter works only with the older (straight sided) versions of the TM170. Newer versions of the the TM170 with narrower base work best with the GNeckMicAdapter.
This is a very classy and rugged part. It is used to connect a Peiker microphone head to a GNeck2 gooseneck flex arm. It is designed to make a gradual transition from the gooseneck diameter to the microphone head diameter. It also adapts from the U.S. threads on the gooseneck to the metric threads on the microphone head. It is machined from a block of aluminum and black anodized. It mates perfectly to a Peiker TM170 microphone head, but the M10 threads on the microphone end fit into most glider microphone heads.
Threads:
- Female 1/8-27 NPSM (straight thread) (similar to, but slightly different from M10 threads), for connection to GNeck2 gooseneck flex arm
- Male M10 Threads for connection to Peiker TM170 or similar microphone head
Dimensions:
Length of main body (not including male threaded part): 0.78 inches (20 mm)
Length of male M10 threads which thread into the microphone head: 0.276 inches (7 mm)
Major diameter: 0.9 inches (23 mm)
Minor diamter: 0.69 inches (18 mm)
