He also tells of the countless hurdles that had to be overcome and problems that were never lacking. And after Eugen Hänle's tragic death at the latest, the story even becomes an economic drama that could hardly be imagined. After reading this book, the glider pilots will have a different impression of Eugen Hänle and Glasflügel than before.

The rescue attempts and the preservation of the legacy of Glasflügel by Hanko and Christian Streifeneder are also described.

I'm an engineer/MBA who loves reading about the development of sailplanes and the people who brought them to life. Certainly the Glasflügel sailplanes are some of the most interesting and innovative sailplanes ever made.  The book is expertly published by Klaus Fey of EQIP - maker of the fantastic "Sailplanes" books. Everyone who loves Glasflügel sailplanes will love this book.
