This microphone is specially designed for use with the XCOM radio.  It features an amplified electret microphone head similar to the ones used in standard aviation headsets.  I highly recommend that all installations of the XCOM 760 radio use this microphone.  It works fine with most other aircraft radios such as Becker, Dittel, Filser, Microair, etc.
