I have been working hard creating interesting and useful Soaring Product Training videos over the years. There are nearly 100 of them so far, with many from this year, and many more coming soon. You can see a list of all the videos on this page (below).
The best way to support my efforts and gain access to the entire Soaring Product Training video series is to become a Patron for $9.95/month. Patrons also receive discounts on purchases at Cumulus Soaring, Inc. and free technical support. https://www.patreon.com/cumulussoaring
I will be giving away a new LXNAV Nano GPS flight recorder ($470 value) as soon as my Patreon page reaches 100 Patrons. The number of Patrons is shown on the site. All current Patrons and Mutual Support Members will be entered into the drawing for the Nano. I will even ship the new Nano to you - anywhere in the world - for FREE.
Please share this opportunity with your soaring clubs and friends. The more everyone promotes this opportunity, the sooner someone gets a free Nano.
I have been selling, supporting and flying with soaring instruments and software since 1990. I’m a very technical person and enjoy getting to know the details about the products with which I work. You can benefit from my technical knowledge and experience.
The videos are designed to meet several needs:

Naviter - Oudie - Setup Tips
This video documents the process I go through to setup an Oudie before shipping it to a customer - or using it myself. It covers using the Naviter Updater to update the Oudie software and airspace files, downloading and installing turnpoint files, and my recommended settings tweaks. The tips apply to all Oudie, Oudie 2 and Oudie IGC units. |

Naviter - Oudie - Weather & SeeYou Maps
Owners of Naviter Oudies now have free access to detailed "SeeYou Maps" (high resolution terrain maps) and weather forecast maps for display on their Oudies in flight. The Naviter Updater makes it easy to load the maps into Oudie before flight. This video shows how to setup your SeeYou.Cloud account using a web browser, how to use the Naviter Updater program to transfer the maps, and how to access the maps on the Oudie.
A current SeeYou-Upgrade subscription is required to access these features. Please order yours through Cumulus Soaring, Inc. here:
cumulus-soaring.com/seeyou.htm#SeeYou-Upgrade
To use the weather maps a SkySight subscription is required. Please order yours using the link here:

Registration Key &
Waypoint Wizard
*** This video is out of date. It is no longer necessary to enter a long registration key when first enabling SeeYou, or after purchasing a SeeYou-Upgrade license. SeeYou now prompts you to log into the "SeeYou Cloud". Your SeeYou license status is stored in the SeeYou Cloud. That is easier than trying to keep track of a registration key or serial number.
Also, the video shows the "Waypoint Wizard". I don't recommend using it to import waypoints for the USA because it doesn't necessarily have current U.S. airport data. I have made current U.S. airport files available

File Management -
Points.cup File - Favorite
*** This video is slightly out of date because changes to Windows file structure made it necessary to change the location in which SeeYou stores the "Points.cup" file that contains the active database of turnpoints and tasks. Importing Waypoints
- Favorite
*** This video is slightly out of date. SeeYou has been updated to make it possible to open a new waypoint file either in a new window, or by replacing the waypoints and tasks currently in use in SeeYou. I have found that some features work best when you are working with the waypoints and tasks in SeeYou's active "points.cup" file. Therefore, before I open a new waypoint file, I do as the video suggests and first save the current waypoint file to my computer. Then I open the new waypoint file and select "Overwrite My Waypoints & Tasks". That puts the new data into the "active waypoints and task" data file that is saved when you quit SeeYou and re-opened automatically when you re-start SeeYou.
